Nifty Thrifty Christmas Cards Class

Sorry this kit is sold out.
________________________
I thought today would be a perfect time to release my newest class, Nifty Thrifty Christmas Cards...

Many of you already know that the genesis of many of my classes are my personal needs. (So selfish!)

Every year I struggle with the long list of to-dos for Christmas and the one thing that rarely gets done is Christmas cards. I almost made it last year, but due to a printing issue (they were photo cards), I ended up sending a digital card instead (is that
tacky?).

This year, my challenge to me and YOU is to make all my own Christmas cards and send them out the weekend after Thanksgiving. What do you think? Are you up for this challenge? Will you join me?

To make it easy for you and me, I've centered my class around a set of digital images I created for WCMD a few years ago, cal
led Heaven & Nature. I specifically designed these cards to be thrifty, quick and cute (of course!).

I'll be offering you all sorts of time-saving and mass-producing tips in class and for added value, the class will include all the digital images so you can make more at home.

I'm also offering (because several of you have asked!) individual cards (you pick!) in kit form in multiples of six. This could really make getting your Christmas cards done early a real possibility. Everything will be printe
d and pre-cut, you'll get these put together is record time!

Class Schedule is:
Wed. Nov. 4th 10-noon South Jordan
Wed. Nov. 4th 6-8pm Orem
Thurs. Nov. 5th 6-8pm American Fork
Fri. Nov. 6th 10-noon Centerville
Fri. Nov. 6th 2-4pm Clinton
Fri. Nov. 6th 6-8pm Clinton

Tues. Nov. 10th 10-noon Sandy
Tues. Nov. 10th 6-8pm Provo
Wed. Nov. 11th 6-8pm West Jordan

Supplies to bring to class:
Trimmer and scissors (fine tipped & long)
Adhesive (Variety: Roll tape, pop-up squares, mini glue dots, dotto, etc...)
Bone Folder, Exacto Knife & self-healing mat
Pencil, ruler & Push pin
1/4" hole punch, micro hole punch and corner rounder
Crystal Glitter glue (Ice stickles) and loose crystal glitter
Glossy Accents or Diamond Glaze
1" and 1 1/2" circle punches (will have some in class)

I'm just dying to know if I'm the only one who struggles with Christmas cards...so leave me a comment and I'll pick a few winners. The prize? My Envelopement class kit ($19 value!).

And that concludes my WCMD activities...it's been a fun day for me and I hope you got to celebrate, even it just meant visiting my blog. Lots of opportunities to win as well, so make sure to read the last four posts!

And now that you've paper crafted your little heart out, it's time for some nourishment. Come back tomorrow for another little treat...one that you can eat!

Nighty Night

Hey, I recognize the reindeer. All I remember about doing my own cards is my attempt about 13 years ago. I was trying to do stamping and embossing and had 2 small children. I was soooooo glad when it was over even though I wasn't completely satisfied with the results. Since then I have mostly opted to decorate the envelope instead of making the actual card.

Having never sent out Christmas cards in my life, I am thinking this might be the year. Looking forward to another great class, and all the help I can get in ideas and inspiration.

Yeah, It is so hard to get my cards sent out. I am glad you are doing these me and my mom will be in class and hopefully get ours out by the challenge time. Thanks for all your creative ideas.

It's always hard-I think I will do better the next year and then I end up emailing as much as possible.

Hmmm, decorate the envelope...that's not a bad idea. So much to do with a wedding in December, on top of 2 birthdays and Christmas!!! Maybe I'll take the class and start thinking of NEXT Christmas!

I think that making Christmas cards is one of my favorites. My problem is that I put it off until I am down to the wire and under pressure to get them out. I am always tickled when someone comments on how much they loved the card. There is a lot of love in that envelope!

I struggle making my own christmas cards, mainly because I get bored doing the same thing over and over. Then there is the problem of writing in them and actually mailing them. Every year I have guilt for the Holidays.

Love the cards! I usually make cards but never finish them in time for the season...sometimes they go ut the following year! lol We all laugh about it - everyone sees their cards early when they come over and it's sitting out still....oy!

I rarely have issue with making christmas cards. In fact I try to plan way ahead... I make 20 cards every even month - Feb, Apr, etc. DH being military and now retired and travelling around we have made wonderful friends that we like to stay in touch with AT LEAST once a year! So a nice homemade card hits the spot.

It is useful to try everything in practice anyway and I like that here it's always possible to find something new. :)
