Studio 5: Father's Day ideas and recipes

Welcome to the no-bling zone! No blossoms or buttons either... it was ALL MAN 2 years ago on Studio 5, with some creative projects featuring things you can find in a hardware store. With Father's Day just 1 week away, I thought I would repost some of these fun ideas and recipes.
I found some real treasures that I know I'll be using again and again, so be sure to read the complete article at the Studio 5 website to know what to get and where to get it. And don't forget all the sentiments are FREE downloads!
{using a Quick-Link for a mini, super quick album}
{I used 5 items from the hardware store to create this yummy gift}
{one of my favorite finds, Gutter Guard Mesh!}

These are easy enough projects that you could gather your children for some craft-time and each of them could make their own Father's day card.
Breakfast in bed and handmade cards are a great way to start off the day, but the real highlight is dinner! It's always something special and this year is no exception. One perfectly prepared Rib-eye club steak to satisfy any man and some spicy sides; Mexican street corn-on-the-cob and red-hot onion rings!

Please visit the Studio 5 website for the recipes and instructions, but let me share my three secrets to a perfect steak with you now.
1. Room temperature steak (take it out a good hour before you're ready to cook.

2. High heat (cast iron is key here)

3. Rest & Relax (doesn't that sound heavenly for you AND the steak?)
