HOTEL:  We are staying at the beautiful new Marriott Springhill Suites just 4 minute walk away (or 1 if your driving!) to our retreat room.  Suites have 2 Queen beds as well as a living area with a couch that turns into a trundle bed (and will fit 2 people), so SHARE and SAVE!  Rooms are blocked out for our group and why we have such a great price!                                                    Lodging is an OPTION but not necessary to attending the retreat.  However, the few people that didn't stay over at the last retreat said how much they wished they had stayed over night.  MORE fun!

Normally Springhill Suites has a FREE hot breakfast buffet, but with covid that has turned into a grab-and-go breakfast (no idea what's in there!?) and Coffee service.

Parking is free!

OCTOBER in UTAH:  Well, it's truly my FAVORITE month in Utah.  The weather is lovely (light jacket weather) and the leaves are turning.  Spend an extra night and go for a mountain colors drive (I will be sending more of this info to attendees).

RETREAT at THANKSGIVING POINT

Thanksgiving Point is an iconic treasure in Utah County.  It is a nonprofit indoor & outdoor farm, garden and museum complex.  Multiple dining options, movie theater, golf course, gift shops, several museums, Many Gardens, Farm country and Butterfly Biosphere (took my Grand daughters here, loved it!).                                                              Our spacious room is in the Museum of Ancient Life.  Thanksgiving Point is doing everything they can to reduce Covid risk.  Our tables (or groups of tables) will be at least 6 ft from each other.  Masks will have to worn at the buffet.
CLASS DETAILS:
The pictures above are such a TEASE, because really, there are SO many fun details in each project!

WICKED FUN Halloween Gifts:  A great collection of treat bags, box AND a very special tri-fold mini keepsake with flip ups, slider pocket and insert with room for little pictures & notes!                                                                                 Don't miss the skeleton hand peeking out from the flip-up tag grabbing a real glass test tube filled with sparkly things!                                               Hidden spots for messages, TONS of dimension, embellishments, ribbon, spooky charms and more.  You'll have TONS of FUN putting these projects together...then filling and gifting them this Halloween.
WICKED FUN Halloween Cards
:  So many details that make this kit a keeper!  Bright pops of Lime green, butterflies and flowers make this the loveliest kind of spooky!                                                    Fun fold outs, floater card, closures and skinny card too (because they're all the rage now, even though we've been making them for years!).
Ok, the nightmare is over...We put away the pumpkins and spookiness and start thinking about Christmas!  Such a FUN time of year, SO many holidays!  So many card & gift giving opportunities!

HOLIDAY GNOMIES Card Class:
THIS was SO much fun to design and SO much work.  Yikes!                                    Gnomes are NOT all created equal. I really wanted a CUTE gnome and he needed EYES.  In the end it was all worth it.                                I'm crushing on my mushrooms, little doors & windows, Adorable pattern paper, hugging penguins, hanging snowmen and that beard?  Fuzzy, fluffy, it's the bomb!  This is my ode to all things cute during the holidays!
PEACE on EARTH Card Class:
I think we all need some of this in our life right now ♥.                                                 This collection of Christmas cards make me swoon.  The color combination is delightful with soft shades of blue, sage and a bright red.                            Beautiful foliage, meaningful sentiments, metal charms, luscious ribbon, silhouettes, Glitter brads, Gold foil stars...not to mention these cards are going flip up, bridge over and swing, just to make card making a little more interesting!

Phew!  If you're still with me, congratulations, you have a better span of attention than I do. :)  I would LOVE to see you at my Fall Retreat, so if you have any questions, please email me!

See you ALL soon!  Sue

Hilltop Memories Winter Retreat = FUN!

I feel so fortunate to have spent the weekend with the Hilltop gals again.  Got to see old friends and make some new ones as well.  It's amazing how bonding a hobby can be; we were all connected by paper & creativity.

I can see why these gals get together so frequently, the enthusiam and energy is so appealing, just wish I lived closer.

Thank you to Dawn for finding me all those years ago in the first place and to Linda for being such a gracious host.  Looking forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future!

Hilltop Memories Crop & Cards Retreat 2014

Ok, here's my LAZY post because I just didn't have time to get my new class (Very Valentine) up before I left.  It will have to wait until I get home on the 26th.

Where am I going?  Back to Hilltop Memories Winter Retreat in Sebring, Florida!

Can't wait to see everyone again and spend the weekend catching up and getting creative.

Looking forward to similar faces, amazing crab legs and being warm!

So, in the meantime, he's my post-retreat post from the 2012...enjoy!

Home from Florida last night!  It's always good to get away and always good to come back home.

Greeted by kids and a kitty who miss you, a familiar bed and TONS of work!!

Woke up at 4:30am this morning, my head swimming with all I have to do in the remaining 6 weeks before the cruise; Studio 5 on Thursday, Happy Family Album classes start next week and of course, all the fun classes, prizes and surprises for the cruise.  Wish there were more hours in the day!

Oh, but what a treat it was to have a whole week in Florida in the middle of winter.  Spent the first few days in Sebring at Hilltop Memories Winter Retreat.

It was great to re-connect with those of you who were in Utah a few years ago and really nice to make new friends as well.  Yes, your names are all ringing in my head!

Love your energy, passion for the craft and overall nice-ness (is that a word?).

I know I missed a bunch of you in photos, too busy playing to take pictures!  I'll catch you next time.

Thanks Linda for being such a incredible hostess, you created a warm and inviting environment (and the food was so good!).

Thanks Kelly, for your magic hands, it really helped Steve, just wish I had could have squeezed you in.  Thanks Dawn for being my liason for the whole thing.  Thanks Teresa for your pin cushion, so cute!

By the way ladies...I'm counting on your next trip to Utah.  Already have a backyard Bar-b-que planned for you!  So start planning!

Finally, I have to share this photo of Steve.  This was pretty much his 'spot' the whole weekend.  Doesn't he look cosy?  What a doll he was to travel with me, put up with all my luggage and keep me company when I wasn't teaching.  I'm one lucky gal!
