Saturday, Oct. 4th
Oh, ladies. Mark your calendars, get a babysitter (dad would be good), make sure you have sharp trimmer blades and plenty of adhesive, we are going to make CARDS!!
So, how do YOU participate in World Card Making Day?
Simple. Make. Cards.
You can do this on your own, at a local scrapbooking store (see below), or create you own par-tay with some friends, PaperCrafts magazine for lots of ideas, paper, trimmings and of course, food. (Chocolate is also good in between the food.)
Remember, this is a great way to get started on holiday card making. Can you even imagine having your Christmas cards done the first week of October? Amazing. You'll have time before the holidays to make tags, gift bags, gifts and decor!
And don't forget the GIVE-AWAY! We're giving 2 copies of Cards, Gifts & More away. To enter, please leave a comment (a link to a card you made would be awesome too!) and I'll randomly pick our winners the day after World Card Making Day.
Check out the website so you can...
- Create your own handmade cards from the dozens of sponsored ideas in the Inspiration Avenue section
- Share your unique designs with the world in the Creation Corner Gallery
- Find and visit an Official World Card Making Day Retailer for classes and activities that will help you connect with other fellow card makers.
- Plan your own fun activities with friends and family with ideas from the Celebrate section
Lastly, I'd like you to meet one of the winners for World Card Making Day...All about Scrapbooks in Chesapeak, VA.
I'll be heading out to the east coast next week to visit this cute store. I'm taking along a photographer (Steve Neal...he comes cheap!) and will be sure to blog about the whole day.
So, until then, think CARDS and see beauty. Sue
