Happy Halloween Give-away!

How can I let this fun day pass without a little something on my blog!  Wish I had more time to play with all the fun Halloween paper I have, but the next BEST thing is to give it away to someone who does!

Both of these collections are from My Mind's Eye.  Boo to You is a super cute collection, including this die-cut accessory sheet and 11 sheets of double-sided paper.

Spider's web is a little more sophisticated and includes 18 sheets of double-sided paper.

To enter, just leave a comment and tell me how you celebrate Halloween.  I can live vicariously through you this year!  Thanks & Good luck!

Picking a winner late tonight!

This year for Halloween, we decided to throw a pumpkin carving party for my 6 year old daughter and her cute little friends. It went great!!!
I like to decorate my house (the inside), carve lots of pumpkins, and dress up with the kiddos. I love Halloween! Especially when the weather isn't too cold outside :)

Oh, ladies...be sure to check back tomorrow morning to see if you've won, in case I can't contact you through your post.

We're headed to our neighborhood trunk or treat tonight - after a dinner of mummie dogs - somewhat of a Halloween tradition for us. Hubby and new puppy dog are dressing up - We have a doggie construction worker costume and hubby made a building under construction. I'll be in my Halloween sweater - that's as festive as I get.

My husband and I host an event for our community.
We have a trick or treat street for the children with a dinner for children and adults alike.
The event usually hosts about 100
people. Loads of fun for all.

Carve pumpkins. Pray for no rain or snow. Homemade costumes. I love it!

I usually like to make gross-looking food like cat litter casserole or something. Then I hand out candy. Not too exciting, but I LOVE Halloween!

Halloween! Not my favorite holiday. I love fall and I love seeing my little grand kids all dressed up. The best is when they come to your door and trick or treat and think you don't know who they are!! Make chili and serve it out of a pumpkin, the kids think that is amazing. We have a little "haunted house" with brains and eyeballs and such for the kids to guess what they are. Anyone who comes by that I know I invite in for chili and cider or hot chocolate. May be a long or short night ya never know!!.

For over thirty years our family has had our traditional Halloween party. We start off with a big pot of soup and homemade bread. Then we clear the table of the dishes and everyone brings out their pumpkins to carve. While some are carving, others are in the kitchen making our "owl cookies" with chocolate chip eyes and cashew beaks. At the end of the evening the jack-o-lanterns are lined up on the table with the carvers standing behind for the first picture. The second picture is of all the jack-o-lanterns lit and all the house lights turned off. So much family love and lots of fun!

All the kids would carve their own pumpkin then we line them up and take pictures one with the lights on and one with them off. We have a fun and quick dinner and get the costumes on and then off to collect their loot.

I think Halloween is the favorite holiday for a lot of people. Maybe because of the variety of images and colors, but for me, I think it's because I look all ready for the big day every morning when I get up - lol

What a fun day to have a giveaway. You're the best!

Things have changed a lot now that all the kids have grown, so now we just hand out candy to the trick or treaters. When the kids were younger we carved the pumpkins into Jack-0-lanterns, visited grandparents with the kids all dressed in their costumes. We always had hot dogs for dinner because the kids were so anxious to go trick-or-treating that it was hard for them to sit and eat dinner. Those were the days....

Our Halloween tradition is yummy beef stew in the crockpot with warm fluffy rolls for dinner. And then spiced apple cider for when the trick or treaters come home, Then you lay out all your loot and trade candy with your siblings. Mom abd Dad participate too!!

We have an annual cousins Halloween party the Saturday before Halloween and it's lots of fun. Most of us wear costumes and they can be pretty creative. I have cousins from Perry to Lehi and we take turns hosting the party. The food is pot luck and always yummy. Halloween itself is rather anti-climatic after the party.

I have lots of Halloween decorations I have made or bought over the years and I always decorate at work, too. We usually carve pumpkins, too, but didn't get that done this year.

I hope to watch TV and wait for all the little ghouls and goblins to visit. Hope I have a chance to win this great stuff!

I miss making costumes for my son, and watching him march around in an alternate persona. Alas, now I'm sitting at my computer, keeping one eye on the front door, waiting for other people's children to delight me with their costumes.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Halloween. We have for the past 20 years have gotten together with my family and have a pumpkins carvin' party. We of course keep growing. This year my son-in-law invited his parents to come.(We do the pumkins master designs)As they were cutting them out they commented, MAN this is alot of work. But, after they were all done and the lights were out and only the pumpkins were glowing, they go WOW how cool is this! Next year we are going to have to do this with our family. We had great food and great fun. Love all the decor and costumes that come with the holiday too! Thanks for the contest!. Its fun to see what other people do. =)

LOVE Halloween! Growing up in the country, I didn't get to trick-or-treat. So,I love passing out treats each year. I decided to keep track of how many kiddos came around this year...and we're up to 162! May the "Great Pumpking" be good to you!
